Ute Clement and Arno Ehresmann remain on the Executive Committee

As Vice President, Professor of Vocational Education Clement is primarily responsible for personnel development and organizational culture in the scientific sector. Experimental physicist Ehresmann's responsibilities include research.

University President Prof. Dr. Reiner Finkeldey commented on the election: "Ms. Clement has particularly advanced the promotion of young scientists and personnel development in the scientific field. Mr. Ehresmann, for his part, has restructured the basis for attracting high-caliber research collaborations, so we expect further successes in this area in the coming years. I am pleased that together we can continue the work we have started in recent years."

Ute Clement (54) studied educational science at the Fernuni Hagen. She received her doctorate and habilitated at the University of Karlsruhe. After a short period as a substitute professor at the University of Giessen, she has headed the Department of Vocational and Business Education at the University of Kassel since 2003. Her research interests include vocational education in international comparison and vocational education policy. Clement has been vice president of the University of Kassel since 2015.

Arno Ehresmann (53) studied physics at the University of Kaiserslautern, where he also earned his doctorate and habilitated. Since 2005, he has headed the department of Functional Thin Films and Physics with Synchrotron Radiation at the University of Kassel. His research interests include nanoscience issues related to magnetic thin film systems. Ehresmann has also been the directorate spokesperson for the network of LOEWE research projects ProLOEWE since 2015. Ehresmann has been vice president of the University of Kassel since 2015.
