We offer an interesting and interdisciplinary research environment in the field of experimental precision and molecular spectroscopy, as well as laboratory astrophysics. The main focus of the research is the generation and spectroscopic analysis of short-lived molecules using a highly sensitive infrared cavity-ringdown-spectrometer in order to obtain a better understanding of interstellar matter or combustion processes.

Prerequisites are a completed university degree (Master) with a grade "good" or better in the field of experimental physics. Experience in experimental physics and basic knowledge in molecular physics and high-resolution laser spectroscopy are required. Knowledge of LabView (data processing and data evaluation software) is of advantage.
