Head of the Quality Development Group (EG 13 TV-H) - Department of Studies and Teaching

Tasks:

The position holder is responsible for the content-related design and further development of interdisciplinary standards of quality development in teaching and learning and supports the departments in organizing the processes of quality management. She/he is responsible for managing the "Quality Development" group with a focus on evaluation, accreditation procedures and teaching and study reporting, approval procedures of examination regulations and optimization of examination administration as well as capacity calculation.

An essential task of the position holder is also the ongoing coordination and supervision of all accreditation procedures of the University of Kassel, the coordination of teaching reporting of the departments and discussion with the Presidential Board as well as the preparation of central teaching-related reports. Networking and cooperation with projects, e.g. the "Quality Audit" project funded under the Teaching Quality Pact, is also part of the job profile. Likewise, participation in the development of study programs, including international study programs, is planned.

The position holder will work in close coordination with the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Department of Development Planning, and the departments. The position holder will be significantly involved in the further development of the quality assurance procedures, in particular the further implementation of the evaluation statutes and the procedure for implementing the course of study monitoring at the University of Kassel.

Requirements:

• Good competencies and comprehensive professional experience in the control of processes of quality management and quality development of studies and teaching, preferably also in the field of evaluation procedures and accreditation system
• Master's degree or comparable academic degree (preferably in a subject area with affinity to the field of activity or in the area of science management)
• Knowledge of the other fields of activity of the Quality Development Group mentioned above
• Basic knowledge of relevant legal fields or the willingness to acquire this knowledge quickly
• High level of cooperation and communication skills
• Practical knowledge of project management and coordination skills
• Very good verbal and written expression skills as well as English skills at least on level B2
• Confidence in the use of standard MS Office products and willingness to familiarize yourself with other special IT applications (TYPO3, campus management system HISinOne)
• Ideally, experience and competence in personnel management
