Skilled worker (EG 7 TV-H) - In the department of construction, technology and real estate

Tasks:

The job essentially involves the operational management and maintenance (inspection, servicing, repair and improvement) of the refrigeration and air conditioning systems of the University of Kassel. This involves a wide range of refrigeration (cooling capacity from approx. 1 kW to approx. 600 kW) and air-conditioning systems. This also includes the existing recooling plants and the cold water distribution networks. In addition to operational management and maintenance and the associated documentation, the required activities also include participation in the management of the extensive plant inventory. The same applies to the cooperation and support in the subcontracting of services in the field of maintenance of the refrigeration plants and for the initiation and / or execution or support of the required expert and expert inspections including the associated documentation.

Furthermore, the scope of duties includes participation in the maintenance and operational management of the compressed air supply systems and in the area of combustion engines (e.g. emergency power systems and combined heat and power plant).

Requirements:

Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology or electronics technician for operating technology or a related profession with appropriate and proven further qualification in the field of refrigeration technology. Further training as an electrician for specified activities (provided that no vocational training as an electrician has been completed or this knowledge has been acquired as part of the training).

In-depth knowledge in the field of refrigeration and distribution. Knowledge in all areas of technical building equipment, in particular also in the area of ventilation and air-conditioning systems, chilled water systems and recooling plants. Knowledge of the principles, structure and mode of operation of controls, regulators and control circuits in technical building equipment facilities.

Experience in dealing with the Operational Safety Ordinance (BetriebssicherheitsVO), the Chemical Climate Protection Ordinance (ChemklimaschutzV), the Water Resources Act (Wasserhaushaltsgesetz) and the legal and technical regulations and specifications for the field of refrigeration technology as well as ventilation and air conditioning technology (e.g. VDI 6022, VDI 2047) including the corresponding detailed knowledge.

Knowledge in the area of common software systems (Office etc.) and ideally in the area of the SAP- module PM.

Driving license class B is mandatory. Motivation, commitment and a high willingness to serve are required as well as a high ability to work under pressure and a broad technical knowledge spectrum. The same applies to the willingness to undergo continuous training and further education. The ability to work alone and adequate physical resilience are required.

The willingness to participate in the general on-call duty of the University of Kassel is assumed, the same applies to the possible participation in a possible future shift work.

The work assignment for the position holder is generally to be at the Holländischer Platz location of the University of Kassel, although the work assignment may also be at other university locations depending on operational requirements.
