Launch and information event "InterKlim

Kick-off and information event for the intercultural project "InterKlim" on Thursday, September 13 at 7 pm. The event will take place in the Gießhaus of the University of Kassel at the Holländischer Platz campus. Together with our project partners, the engineering office Burghardt und Partner, the East-West Science Center (OWWZ) of the University of Kassel, the City of Kassel, the Oskar-von- Miller School, the Adult Education Center Kassel as well as the Diakonisches Werk of the Kassel region, we want to present the project and inform about adaptation to climate change.

The project "Intercultural Qualification Network for Adaptation to Climate Change" - InterKlim for short - is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety until the end of August 2020. The overall objective of the project is to establish an intercultural network in the city of Kassel between local and asylum-seeking architects, engineers, planners and craftsmen in order to exchange information on adaptation options to climate change. Together, adaptation options, as they are already applied in the countries of origin, are to be discussed. In addition, local actors will establish contacts with potential collaborators. Teaching materials are to be developed from the results of the working groups and made available in the form of e-learning modules.
