We are looking for a person to lead and further develop the area "FabLab + Rapid Prototyping" within the study workshop "Digital 3D Technology" at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. The area is professionally oriented towards digital manufacturing with a focus on DIY or Maker and digital manufacturing processes in general.

 

Tasks:

-             technical and organizational management and further development of the "FabLab + Rapid Prototyping" area of Digital 3D Technology.

-             Teaching with a predominant teaching load of 12 semester hours per week in the area of "FabLab + Rapid Prototyping".

-             teaching includes courses, workshops and project-related advice for all students at the art academy in the specialist spectrum of digital DIY / Maker technologies

-             furthermore, basic seminars on the subject of general digital manufacturing are to be offered for the product design course of study

-             technical and organizational supervision of tutors for the purpose of support in teaching and supervision of the study workshop

 

Requirements:

-         completed bachelor's or UAS degree in design, humanities or engineering or six-semester art college degree

-         good communication and organizational skills

-         sound knowledge of digital fabrication techniques and methods, including DIY / Maker - field

-         hardware knowledge in the field of sensor technology, power electronics or electromechanics as well as knowledge of system implementation, e.g. on Arduino or Raspberry Pi

-         adequate software or programming knowledge, e.g., on circuit board design, microcontroller programming, or physical computing, e.g., Arduino, Processing, Phyton
