Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the Department of Theoretical Atomic and Molecular Physics

Full-time. The position is initially limited for 11 months within the subproject C1 "Circular dichroism in the photoionization and decay spectra of spatially-oriented chiral molecules" in the DFG Collaborative Research Centre 1319 "Extreme light for sensing and driving molecular chirality" (§ 2 Abs. 1 Satz 2 WissZeitVG).

Your tasks:

• Collaboration in the above-mentioned research project
• Investigation of photoelectron circular dichroism of chiral molecules after excitation with optical broadband laser pulses
• Investigation of the photoelectron circular dichroism of chiral molecules in the infrared tunnel ionization regime.

Your requirements:

• Completed doctorate in theoretical physics or chemistry
• solid knowledge and experience in the theoretical description of multiphoton photoelectron circular dichroism of chiral molecules
• scientific curriculum and publication list in the field of the research project
• good knowledge of English is required.

Advantageous are:

• expertise in the theoretical description of the electron continuum in molecules
• thorough and independent way of working
• a high degree of organizational skills
