Research Associate (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Experimental Physics I

The position is initially limited to 15 months. The acquisition of own funds is desired, so that the possibility of an extension is given (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility for habilitation is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of Experimental Physics I
• Independent work on a research subfield in Experimental Physics I.

Requirements:

• A scientific university degree in physics with very good to good results
• Doctorate in physics completed with very good to good results

Advantageous are:

• Relevant experience in hybrid ion traps + laser cooling of ions, ultracold quantum gases, ultracold molecules (dimeric), cold chemical reactions, expertise on short pulse laser systems, narrow band diode laser systems, frequency combs, optical dipole traps, RF technology, low noise measurement techniques.
