Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of technical building equipment

The position is initially limited until 31.12.2022 as part of the "CampusKassel 2030" and "SommerWende" projects (§ 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG) and, if desired, can also be filled part-time with 75.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee (currently 30 hours per week). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

The task is the independent, scientific processing of the contents of the above-mentioned research projects as well as the documentation of the results. In the "SommerWende" project, courses are developed and implemented, particularly for architecture students, on the topic of "Avoiding summer overheating in buildings". In the "CampusKassel 2030" project, the department is investigating the amount by which the operating temperatures of the local heating network can be reduced without impairing the heatability of the buildings as part of an overall concept for the_{CO2 neutrality of} the University of Kassel.

Prerequisites:

• University degree with at least good grades in architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, "Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency" or a comparable subject. The required degree must be available by the recruitment date at the latest.
• In-depth knowledge in the field of energy efficiency of buildings and technical building equipment

Advantageous are:

• Experience in teaching (especially architecture) and in interdisciplinary cooperation between architects and specialist planners
• Knowledge of heating and passive cooling of buildings as well as the conception and implementation of measurements
• Experience with building and system simulation and in the use of other IT programs, including MS Office
