Diversity Week 2023 - Opening

Supported by the special fund "Structural Equal Opportunities", the so-called Diversity Week will take place in the Department 02 in the week of November 06-10, 2023, to which we would like to cordially invite all students, academic staff, members of the university, teaching staff and other interested parties!

We would like to start the week together on Monday, 06.11. at 10:00 in the foyer of Kurt-Wolters-Straße 5, before you can expect a multifaceted offer of different events such as workshops in German and English, a panel discussion, a reading and a religious-pedagogical-theological study day followed by a film evening spread over the entire week. In addition, there will be the opportunity to participate in various courses from the current teaching program, which will open up discussion spaces for exchange on topics such as gender justice, rejectionism and racism as part of Diversity Week.

The offers aim at making visible already existing equality work and offers, the networking of different subject perspectives, but also a reflection of the existing need for action. In accordance with the goals of the development plan of the University of Kassel, a contribution is to be made in this way to the sustainable anchoring of the topic of equality, which is to contribute to the desired diversity-oriented and gender-just cultural change.
