Communication School

In times of FakeNews and increasing distrust of science, science communication is essential and is increasingly becoming an integral part of scientific practice. Whether communicating with the public or within the scientific community, targeted, convincing, and comprehensible communication of research projects and results promotes trust in science, communication between scientists, and applications for funding.

Written, rhetorical or visual the Communication School teaches young scientists a variety of ways to communicate.

The Communication School supports young scientists in developing skills in science communication and helps them to become communicators themselves. The one-week advanced training program offers the opportunity to choose three main areas of communication from nine workshops and to develop their own communication concept. At the end, the young scientists can try out any format of science communication and present their research at the public closing event.
