Information on teaching/presentations

According to our initial assessment, the University of Kassel got off to a good start in the digital semester under what are known to be difficult conditions. In recent weeks, courses have been designed for an initially digital semester, and the infrastructure has been created. Students and lecturers have adapted to these teaching formats as far as possible. Conversion of individual courses from online teaching to face-to-face teaching should therefore be planned well in advance. A complete return to face-to-face teaching is not possible for the time being anyway, because does not have the necessary space for this as long as the hygiene regulations apply.

We welcome the prospect of being able to permit further face-to-face events in the foreseeable future. In which form and when we will make this possible will be discussed and prepared by the Presidential Board on the basis of the ordinance, the general conditions at our university, and the hygiene standards that continue to apply - also in consultation with the departments.

I therefore ask you to wait for further information from the university management regarding an expansion of face-to-face teaching. Until then, the regulations outlined in the FAQ apply.
