The new "publik" is here!

The new issue is out now. Of course, there is also a report on the digital semester and how students, staff and lecturers are dealing with it. The short conclusion: It's working.

If you don't like to walk, but prefer to ride your bike, Kassel is also the right place for you: The university will soon be establishing a professorship for cycling and local mobility. At the end, there will not be a degree in cycling waiting for you, but there will be an interesting course of study, which will deal, among other things, with the planning of cycle paths, the safety of cyclists and the linking of pedestrian and cycle traffic with bus and rail. The future prospects for graduates here should be promising.

The Hessian Higher Education Pact is also promising - in the publik we have an assessment of what opportunities the Higher Education Pact offers for the University of Kassel. In addition, the new issue of Uni-Magazin features many topics with a focus on sustainability - from a project on "urban mining" in the Hessian city of Korbach to a review of developments in organic farming and a student who has developed sustainable toothbrushes.
