We mourn the death of Prof. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Bernhard Aloys Wobben

Dr. Wobben was closely associated with the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering at the University of Kassel for many years and was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2006 for his services to the development and promotion of wind energy use. We would like to thank him for his commitment, his unwavering determination, his farsightedness and his creativity, which have played a decisive role in making wind energy the driving force behind renewable energies today.The University of Kassel will always cherish Dr. Wobben's memory.
