Welcome to the University of Kassel Prof. Dr. Miriam Langlotz!

In April, Dr. Miriam Langlotz accepted the position of Professor of Didactics of German Language and Literature/Primary School; after the end of her parental leave, she will take up her post this October. She studied primary school teaching for the subjects German, general studies and music in Kassel, where she subsequently completed her doctorate on sentence linking strategies of secondary school pupils and worked as a postdoc. In 2016, she was appointed Professor of Didactics of the German Language at TU Braunschweig. Miriam Langlotz's research focuses on issues relating to the acquisition and teaching of spelling, grammar and text skills. It is particularly important to her to make the primary school teacher training program at the University of Kassel practical and research-oriented.
