Welcome to the University of Kassel Prof. Dr. Sandra Drumm!

In August, Dr. Sandra Drumm took up a professorship in the field of German as a second language (DaZ). She completed her doctorate at the Technical University of Darmstadt in 2014 on the subject of language education in biology lessons and has since been working on the topics of the acquisition of educational language in subject lessons and the connection between subject-specificity and language. She also worked for a long time in university writing consultancy and writing didactics research. After holding academic positions in Darmstadt, Wuppertal and Paderborn, she is now continuing her work in Kassel, where she conducts research in the areas of language support for immigrant professionals and digitalization in teacher training in German as a foreign language.
