Cars are getting bigger and bigger, and registration numbers are rising every year. But public space is limited, and the areas do not grow with it. And yet cars spend an average of 23 hours a day just standing around. In an expert discussion, the ecological transport association VCD presented the concept of fine mobility, an approach that focuses on smaller and more space-saving vehicles. Prof. Dr. Carsten Sommer from the University of Kassel was among those present.
