Why do some children fast? How do people pray in different religions? Participants can ask these and other questions at the Kassel Children's Academy. The goal of the Children's Academy is to acquire more knowledge about one's own and other religions. Together, the children learn about the three major monotheistic religions: Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Excursions to a church, mosque and synagogue as well as various workshops are designed to help build tolerance, respect and understanding and to break down advantages. The results from the week will be presented to parents and friends on the last day. A total of up to 30 children are expected to attend.

The workshops of the academy are organized by students of the University of Kassel within a seminar of Protestant religious education. In addition, religious representatives from various denominations are involved. The Spielmobil Rote Rübe e.V. organizes the afternoon program.

The Children's Academy costs 40 euros per child; financial support can be made possible through the "Chancenpatenschaft" project via BENGI e.V.
