New Exposé Scholarship for Future PhD Students

Anyone wishing to officially begin their doctorate at the University of Kassel must submit an application for acceptance as a doctoral candidate. This requires an exposé. This can also be used at the same time to apply for a doctoral scholarship from a scholarship organization for gifted students. However, depending on the subject, it can take several months to prepare such an exposé. This longer process often results in a funding gap, which the University of Kassel would like to close by introducing the new Exposé Scholarship.

All persons who have already been accepted for supervision by a professor at the University of Kassel are eligible to apply. In addition to a review by this person, applicants also need a letter of motivation, a brief outline of the doctoral project, and their curriculum vitae and university transcripts.

The funding period is up to nine months, the funding amount is 1,300€ per month (on application a child allowance of 200€ per month is possible).

During the funding period, the scholarship holders attend two accompanying workshops, which support them in writing the exposé and clarify questions regarding doctoral funding and scholarship applications.

The application deadline for the current call is 15.04.2023.
