The Corona pandemic has implications for various areas of our welfare state that need to be analyzed scientifically. "Covid-19 - Prevention and Insurance in the Workplace" is accordingly the topic of the FoSS event on May 12 at 6 p.m. with Prof. Dr. Gamze Güzel-Freudenstein (Fulda University of Applied Sciences) and Dr. Stefan Witschen (University of Kassel). At this event, the Research Network cooperates with the Association for the Promotion of Research and Knowledge Transfer in Social Law and Social Policy.

The event continues on May 16 at 6 p.m. with the topic "Social Human Rights and Sustainable Development Goals". Prof. Dr. Markus Krajewski from the University of Nuremberg-Erlangen will address the relationship between social human rights and Sustainable Development Goals. The role of the United Nations will also be examined.

What problems do non-German citizens have with co-determination in Germany? Anke Freuwört (University of Kassel/Hochschule Fulda) will talk about this on June 16 at 4 p.m. in her lecture "The Multiple Limitations of Political Participation of the Foreign Population." This event takes place in cooperation with the "Center for Society and Sustainability" (CeSSt) of the University of Applied Sciences Fulda.

Since 2013, various departments of the University of Kassel and the University of Applied Sciences Fulda have been cooperating in the research network Social Law and Social Policy. The focus is on interdisciplinary research and teaching, which at the same time focuses on the exchange of science and practice.
