Campus festival with Maja Göpel on June 30

"Finally, Campusfest again," University President Prof. Dr. Ute Clement was pleased to say. "It is the highlight and the conclusion of the anniversary year '50 years of the University of Kassel' and the final chord of a semester in which we were finally able to return to the campus." Ute Clement emphasized that the celebration was aimed in particular at all guests from the city and the region: "The university shows here what it does and what it can do. Because we see ourselves as a strong part of this region and want to be in conversation with everyone who is interested."

Many booths, tours, lectures and hands-on experiments revolve around the theme of sustainability. Fittingly, Prof. Dr. Maja Göpel will give the keynote lecture "Setting out for tomorrow's world." She is one of the most important voices in the debate on sustainability and transformation and author of the bestseller "Rethinking the World." After her lecture (5 p.m., Campus Center, Lecture Hall 1), she will engage in conversation with visitors.

Numerous other lectures, hands-on activities such as a science escape room and competitions, activities for children, presentations and guided tours of the campus and laboratories will demonstrate the range of topics that the University of Kassel has to offer under the university motto TODAY FOR TOMORROW - because this is by no means limited to sustainability. A colorful stage program with theater and music on the square in front of the central cafeteria rounds off the campus festival. The marching brass band "BOOMHORNS" will make the audience sweat starting at 8:15 pm.

The Campusfest is the conclusion of the celebrations for the anniversary "50 years of the University of Kassel" as well as a series of events that bring life back to the campus this summer. All interested parties from the city and region are cordially invited to celebrate campus life at the University of Kassel and life itself.
