Welcome to the University of Kassel Prof. Dr. Madeleine Domenech!

In the summer semester of 2022, Madeleine Domenech took over the newly established, interdisciplinary professorship "Primary School Didactics, Multilingualism and Social Participation" at the Institute of Educational Sciences. After studying to become a teacher (German, French) in Berlin and the USA, she completed her doctorate at the International Research School Education and Capabilites in Dortmund on "Literacy Profiles of Fifth Graders". She was and is involved in several third-party funded projects and working groups in which she researches with colleagues from related disciplines how school-relevant text and discourse skills develop depending on family and individual resources and what connections exist between such multilingual and educational language skills and subject-related learning processes.
