Right-wing Extremist Politics in Transition between Parties and Social Movements. International Perspectives

In memory of the racist murder of Halit Yozgat, which was committed by the right-wing extremist NSU in 2006 not far from the Holländischer Platz campus, the lecture series against right-wing extremism has been held annually with changing topics at the University of Kassel since 2012. After the lecture in the last winter semester dealt mainly with the topics of conspiracy ideologies and anti-Semitism in times of the Corona pandemic under the title "recht extrem? Wissen, Meinen, Glauben in der Krise" (Right-wing extremism: knowledge, opinion, and belief in crisis), we would like to focus in the coming winter semester 2021/22 on the right-wing structures in the field of political parties and social movements, which continue to grow stronger. In addition to the situation in Germany, we will also focus on developments in other countries.

On January 10, 2022, Dr. Aurelien Mondon will give a lecture in English on "The French Far Right ahead of the 2022 Elections".
