It is almost impossible to describe Moritz Neumeier's stand-up comedy. He jumps from the most abstruse fantasies to the harsh reality, wraps up his everyday life with unadulterated and coarse language and yet you can feel the deep emotionality in every one of his performances. He himself remains modest and never takes center stage. Because this place belongs solely to his unbroken honesty.
He talks openly about his depression, his thoughts and worries and yet you can't help but laugh the whole time. His humor is too raw, his punchlines too powerful. With just a few gestures, the audience forgives every moral misstep, while at the same time he creates an energy in the room, just millimetres away from revolution - Moritz commands the audience and they are happy to be led.And yet he remains a sad clown. He is never too good to make a fool of himself, to exert himself or to suffer - the audience's laughter is thanks enough. Because a life without the stage would not work for him. Then he would be permanently with his children.
Moritz Neumeier is a stand-up comedian of the new generation, performing on stage with Till Reiners and other young men and women who never run out of humor, even when it comes to sensitive or bizarre topics.
