Employment opportunities

The Master program Agriculture, Ecology and Societies (AGES) trains change-makers with a focus on the role of Europe for the worldwide socio-ecological transition to sustainable agriculture. The program prepares graduates for the transdisciplinary work of investigating, advocating, designing and accompanying holistic socio-ecological transitions.

Graduates are equipped to work in advanced positions for a variety of stakeholders:

  • International, national and regional agrarian governance institutions
  • Development cooperation agencies
  • Research institutes
  • NGOs and advocacy groups
  • Responsible trading and processing companies
  • Cooperatives
  • Complex/innovative farming ventures

With this program, we want to prepare graduates for transdisciplinary careers that link these knowledges and skills in new ways.
