The current high temperatures make it clear how important it is to stay well hydrated. To make this even easier, a drinking water dispenser has been installed in front of lecture hall 1 in the Campus Center. In the future, you will be able to tap chilled and unchilled tap water into the water bottle you have brought with you.

The idea of establishing drinking water dispensers at the University of Kassel has been around for some time. In February, the topic was given new impetus and interested employees and students were brought together in the Green Office's Ideas Challenge.

No one has to worry about the quality of the water at the University of Kassel. The tap water is of top quality and is checked regularly. What's more, it saves a lot of waste and^CO2 when water comes directly from the tap and doesn't have to be transported a long way.

Suitable locations for additional water dispensers are also currently being sought for the other university locations, with plans to install six more devices.

The new drinking water dispenser is listed as an official refill station. The Green Office has also been recognized by a tip:tap e.V. as a " Tap Water Friendly Office." To convince even more people of the benefits of tap water, tap water is served instead of bottled water at Green Office meetings and events.
