The deposit rings, which have been installed on the garbage cans in front of the canteen as a pilot project for an initial period of three months, are intended to provide an opportunity to deposit returnable bottles and at the same time help reduce residual waste and make it easier for those in need to collect returnable bottles. Students and staff can place returnable bottles in the rings instead of throwing them in the residual waste. The aim is to make it possible for those in need to take empties with them without having to "rummage" in the garbage cans.

If the project proves successful, or is successfully evaluated after three months, the project will be extended to other garbage cans and campus areas and locations.
